The meaning of the card drawn changes depending on the following, whether it is upside down, the cards position in the spread, & the meaning of the card before & after. Each card has its own symbolic meaning. Though there is books to help one understand and be able to practice the art of tarot reading, after much practice one must be able to do it without assistance. One must interpret the cards and read them intuitively, based on the question and context given by the curios one (the one asking questions), in order to provide an insightful and helpful reading.
